Click here to watch a short video of the action. Perfect weather, capacity crowds and Plettenberg Bay ‘painted pink’ created an idyllic atmosphere synonymous with the ‘Feel good ‘ symbol that the beloved heart and star has come to represent.
New Sabrina Ambassador Achmat Hassiem, Olympic sensation in the Butterfly sprint, dominated the iconic event of the long distance ocean swim with fellow Olympiad Chad Ho. Achmat’ s dedication to achieving excellence together with his huge heart for our kids with special needs, makes us so proud to have him on board.
Big thanks to the amazing events crew of Magnetic South, who once again created intriguing, challenging, fun, awe inspiring paddling routes, running routes, MTB routes and one of the highlights the Kids of Steel challenge. Kids faced a ‘jungle’ of rope ladders, tree climbing, single track running, a lake swim and a red carpet run to the finish.
With a backdrop of the mountains surrounding the magnificent Kurland Estates and open bay views makes this one of the most beautiful venues in the world or a multi-disciplinary event. Best of all we raised R1m towards the funding of our projects helping children with special needs and their families.
See you in 2016!
