Ploughing love and energy into a cause that is close to one’s heart and seeing the results, brings indescribable joy. Beautiful words and reaffirmation shared with us by Mrs Lisa Corbett Shattock, Computer Science teacher extraordinaire from Plettenberg Bay Primary School. Mivuyo has been a learner at Plett Primary for 2 years. We are incredibly proud of his grit and determination, as well as Pasiwe for assisting him with such care.
“Mivuyo is our first differently-abled learner at Plett Primary School. His disability means that he has almost no mobility of his arms and legs. This hasn’t stopped this young super-hero from slotting into the everyday routine of his class.
He moves around in his electric wheelchair, he writes beautifully, using his mouth and with the assistance of his amazing carer, Pasiwe – takes part in all of the activities that this classmates do.
In this video taken in my IT Lab, he is using Smartnav technology to control his cursor with head movements and using his elbow to very accurately control his mouse …….. nothing stands in this little star’s way !
This has all been made possible by the SABRINA LOVE FOUNDATION and their fantastic support and sponsorship.” – Lisa Corbett Shattock
What a fabulous little boy and what a great cause you have. Lisa is my sister and we love hearing updates about Mivuyo’s progress. My husband and I live in America but the next time we visit we will definitely be donating to your fantastic charity.
