2 new Occupational Therapy students have joined the team at Die Sterreweg from the Artevelde University in Gent, Belgium. They are both here for 3 months doing their internships. These girls have already forged themselves deep within our hearts and jumped in with such amazing zest and enthusiasm.
“Hi, I am Emma, a twenty-year-old-girl. I love family, friends, the sea and food! I’m on occupational therapy student. I am an optimistic and creative person. Die Sterreweg was my first choice as an internship, so I am very grateful that I am here. I like working with children very much and I found it interesting that both children with a mental disability and children with a physical disability can be treated here. I often look for adventures, being active clears my head and travelling is my life. I love countries where they have a different culture, that intrigues me enormously.”
“Hey, I’m Alanis, an occupational therapy student from Belgium. I’m doing my last internship at Die Sterreweg. So far I’m very pleased with this placement. I live nearby Gent with my parents, sister and dog. I like dancing, being active, taking photos and travelling. I chose Die Sterreweg as an internship placement because I didn’t want to do the usual internship in Belgium. I also want to experience working with children and getting to know a whole different culture. I’m looking forward to all the things I will learn and all the adventures that are waiting for me.”

We wish these lovely young ladies a wonderful stay with us and looking forward to learning from each other.
