Amy Cope completed her first Cape Town Cycle Tour of 109km’s in an amazing time of 5 hours 20 minutes. Amy, only 14 years old and finally allowed to officially enter this challenging cycle race, cycled the entire race alone, and finished strong. It is not common for a 14 year old to enter the race, let alone, a 14 year old female. Amy showed great courage in enduring this feat alone, staying focused in mind and body the entire race. Amy wore her pink “Team Sabrina” cycling attire with pride, showing her support for the charity “Sabrina Love Foundation”. This Foundation, established 20 years ago, raises funds for Children with Special Needs. Amy’s little nephew was born with cerebral palsy 1 year ago and so she felt encouraged to dedicate this exigent experience to him. Well done to Amy for such an exemplary and commendable achievement at such a young age!
What a fabulous story. Well done Amy. I am sure that your supporting effort in the Argus ride this year will inspire many others to great and wonderful support for others in need.
