Much excitement and pride in the Sabrina Love Foundation fold as Tamarin, our Centre Manager (Die Sterreweg Day Care Centre) packed her bags and jetted off on her first international travels. Tamarin was invited by the Artevelde University to visit Belgium to strengthen the relationship between Artevelde and Die Sterreweg/Sabrina Love Foundation.

While in Belgium, Tamarin visited 2 special needs primary schools, as well as a day care centre that caters for children with special needs to draw ideas and parallels between what we offer our children here and how we can learn and grow.

“The highlight of my week was visiting “Het Idee”. This is a beautiful little coffee shop situated in a very busy mall only employees people with disabilities”
The Sabrina Love Foundation has been fortunate to be part of an ongoing relationship with the Artevelde University (Ghent, Belgium). to date, 2 teams of Belgian students have visited Plettenberg Bay. They have been doing research for a three-year international program, entitled ‘Centre of Excellence – Aim for Die Sterreweg’, to help the day care center for children with special needs ‘Die Sterreweg’, New Horizons, become an internationally recognized reference for care of children with special needs throughout South Africa.
