I would like to thank all and everyone for the Casual Day celebrations which were so beautiful and meaningful.
As we set off on our walk in the wild weather with the Field Band playing, my heart sang with the joy of togetherness shared with our children, parents and others sharing our casual day.
It was a morning filled with song and special words. All those who participated did so with such LOVE and it was wonderful to soak it all in from my place in the audience.
The Phakamasani music teacher lead the way with our South African Anthem. What a privilege to sing along with his glorious voice and grace, and everyone else in the Community Hall.
I just adored Sabrina’s song written and lead by Tigger with the Phakamasani Choir, I look forward to the day when we can all sing it together as Sabrina’s Anthem! The orchestra made up by our Sterreweg children. Each of them playing such a special and individual role, the shining stars they are, making the music whole and in return themselves wonderful participators of the event. Congratulations to all our caregivers for teaching them so magnificently. The wheelchair dance as always a favourite and done to perfection as you all glided to the music with such grace.
Janet’s words were deeply touching and I loved the way our MC related his feelings with such respect for all the tireless work that goes into caring for a special needs child, directed to all the parents and caregivers who are devoted to our children.
All the guests shared music and stories which added to the joy of the day.
Thank you all and everyone. A special Casual Day to hold in our hearts till next year.
Love and love
Suzy and my SABRINA
