To keep our creative juices flowing, our teachers were challenged with designing and creating an educational toy.
The brief “Choose a child you are doing home visits to or one who is in your class and make a toy or activity for them using everyday recycled materials or household objects”
We are so proud of the amazing toys that were produced by each of the ladies who participated. Each toy was made specifically for one of our children and accompanied by a goal for the child that the toy will help to achieve. The toys were scored by our Occupation Therapy Team . These ladies admit that they had a very difficult time deciding on the winner, as so many wonderful toys were submitted!
Heidi, our resident Die Sterreweg Occupational therapist:’ “We are so proud of each participant and love seeing the kids engaging with the toys! Absolutely stunning work and such creativity by everyone!”

Quinique was announced as the overall winner, she made the most toys and each one was high quality and well thought out! ⭐ we also thought her sensory blocks for Arielle were really exceptional (images of Qunique’s creations below).
Quinique received a beautiful pink scrub top that was been donated by Oliva scrubs as a prize. https://olivascrubs.com/

Prizes were also awarded to 4 of our other ladies for excellent work! Well done Patricia, Bongi, Bronwyn and Cornelia!
