What better way to welcome Spring than to get your fingers a little bit dirty and get planting!
A collection of discontinued empty Bos Ice Tea cans were donated to Die Sterreweg. So what do you do with a few empty cans? You make them look beautiful and get your fingers dirty and fill them with love and beautiful plants!
After painting and decorating the cans, the children carefully filled each can with a combination of compost some sand and then planted a variety of succulents.
This was such a wonderfully fulfilling project and the children had so much fun. Not only was this an amazing exercise in hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills, but also yielded such beautiful finished products!
Thank you to our amazing donors who contributed to the success of this project – Marcus Varoli from Melton Farm Compost and the beautiful Kerry Scott of Simply Green for the array of succulents.
