This dynamic 5 year old duo have been best friends from the start and are a huge motivation within the classroom for the facilitators.
Morne’ Mintoor – pushing his little friend’s wheelchair into the Sabrina bus, has been part of the Sabrina Love and Die Sterreweg Day Care family since 2016. Although diagnosed with Rickets, Craniotabes (softening or thinning of skull) and Osteopenia (a condition that occurs when the body does not make new bone as quickly as it absorbs old bone), Morne is still a very active, playful and helpful little boy. The leadership qualities of this vibrant little boy make him stand out among the rest.
Wesley (wheelchair) suffers from lumbar myelomeningocele (a form of spina bifida). Wesley loves playing and engaging in game activities. He is talkative and although he is in a wheelchair he is so willing to participate in gross motor activities in an adapted manner, to the best of his ability.
Both little boys are very engaging, talkative and can often demonstrate to other kids within the classroom how to perform a task.
Small victories for big hearts!
