As part of our continued support to our children and their families, the Sabrina Love Foundation and Die Sterreweg caregivers and field workers have been doing home visits to all our Sabrina Love Foundation children and their families.
These visits are to provide continued emotional support and ensure that our families and children are coping.
This week, Heidi, our occupational therapist, joined the home visits to some of the children who were identified as being high risk and whose parents need the most support. These children have mostly been the from Die Sterreweg and children on the waiting list (for admittance to Die Sterreweg) who have significant physical needs and are at risk for deformities if they do not receive the appropriate care.
On home visits we have been loaning items from the Die Sterreweg, such as specialized buggy wheelchairs, standing frames and positioning devices. It has been a wonderful opportunity for empowering parents in the care of their own children and to make sure our kids have everything they need to promote their well being at home.
