Mivuyo Tyanese, diagnosed with Arthrogryposis has been with the Sabrina Love Foundation since the age of 3 months. Mivi has limited use of his arms and therefore uses a power chair for mobility and his mouth or an adapted computer for writing and drawing.

Mivuyo’s journey in mainstream schooling started when he started attending Footsteps PreSchool at the age of 4 with his assistant. Mivuyo has never let his physical limitations affect his academic achievements. Dedication and hardwork has certainly paid off with Mivuyo advancing year on year with his friends and peers. Schooling throughout the country, and world, was turned upside down with the advent of the Covid19 pandemic. Teachers, students, scholars and parents had to adjust to a whole new way of studying and working.

9 year old Mivuyo , currently a Grade 4 pupil at Plettenberg Bay Primary School, not only adapted and adjusted – he excelled!! The move from to Grade 4 is a significant one as children are introduced to new and additional subjects as well as more formal assessments. Mivuyo finished 7th overall in grade 4. An astounding achievment for this determined young man!

Mivi we are incredibly proud of you!
