What a joy to see an ocean of pink smiling children and their parents at our Sabrina Love Christmas party held at Spur last Saturday. All our Sabrina Love, Sterreweg and Elson Unit children came together to celebrate as one big happy family. Nicky and her team at Spur had decorated the seating with hundreds of heart shaped balloons which set the tone for the happiest of times. Everyone was completely spoilt by Hilton as he once again had his team treat everyone like princes and princess with a most delicious meal to celebrate our 10th Sabrina Love Christmas party. Spur showered us all with such love and generosity. We thank you so much for hosting us so parents could share, children could play, everyone could feast and a perfect setting for Father Christmas to come and spoil each and every child.
Caroline Cross of Oakhill School and Laurel Giddy of Knysna Hospital fulfilled the huge task of providing the Christmas gifts for every single child. Weeks ago Gabriella set off with our children’s profiles so they could each get the perfect gift. These were handed out to the children of Oakhill School in Knysna and colleagues of both Knysna Hospital and Royal Hastkoning DHV. The collection of gifts poured in so beautifully and lovingly done by the children of Oakhill and the staff of the Knysna Hospital and Royal Hastkoning DHV. Each child received a gift wrapped with their photograph and name on it, filled with gifts that were appropriate for their condition, age and personality. Glenn Murray was the most perfect Father Christmas who arrived to the singing of the Spur team and cheers of joy from all the children. Thank you Glenn for handing out the gifts with your passion and care to ensure the joy of each and every child as they were called up.
Our Sabrina Love team, Colleen, Nicole, Amanda and Kathryn, thank you for coordinating everything along with all our Sterreweg team and Sabrina field workers, ensuring that every child that could be was with us to celebrate and give thanks to everyone who has helped through this past year. It was the happiest of days and I give thanks to our magnificent Sabrina Love and Sterreweg teams. To Leigh Dunn, and to the community of Plett and Knysna who have opened their arms to our Sabrina Love Foundation and truly share in the journey of caring for all our special needs children in our area. We are grateful to everyone and look forward to our years ahead as we witness the growth and development of our special children as they flourish in our inclusive and caring and beautiful town of Plettenberg Bay.
We wish everyone a Happy Christmas and may 2014 bless you all with Love, Luck, Health and Happiness.
Suzy, Tony and the whole Sabrina Love Foundation.
