We are extremely proud and appreciative to have Chad Ho as a Sabrina Ambassador.
Chad will swim the 10km open water at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and has chosen to “Swim for those who cant” via our Support-A-Star campaign.
Going for Olympic Gold means adapting to an INTENSE training schedule, he is up against the best swimmers in the world! His training schedule involves swimming 9 sessions per week, 2 hours long each and covering +-80-90km. He then does altitude spinning training 2 x times per week, 1 hour long each. Chad says “Training in a pool daily is mentally challenging as well as physically as you not taking any ‘scenic routes’, its a matter of staring at a black line for two hours whilst completing the set for that session – you have to constantly remind yourself why you are doing this and keep your head in the game”.
Chads Olympic swim is on the 16th August, if all goes well he could hold up an Olympic Gold medal the next day!
Chad’s campaign will cover the cost of 1 x specialized equipment for a year as well as 1 x physical therapist.
“It warms my heart to see that little boy who operates with his chin & a wheelchair, absolutely amazing how much technology can improve these kids lives, things we take for granted everyday.”
