Wow! It has been almost a whole week since the incredible Cape Town Cycle Tour 2020. This is such a wonderful event to be part of. Exploring the gorgeous scenery and beauty that Cape Town has to offer while riding shoulder to shoulder with such a diverse group of people.
But this is not the only reason that we do this every year. We do this to raise much needed funds.
These funds go a long way towards purchasing specialised Shonaquip buggies for our children at our Sabrina Love Day Care Centre, Die Sterreweg. These adapted buggies are specialized wheelchairs designed to provide full body and head support for users who cannot sit independently and need more posture support than basic folding frame wheelchairs offer.

Our Classroom Facilitators are very important in assisting children with disabilities who are entering main stream schooling. These facilitators ensure that children are able to access the main stream curriculum, albeit be it slightly adapted. They also ensure the development of essential social and βworkβ skills. The facilitator ensures that there is no additional pressure placed on the classroom educator but rather work alongside them to design an appropriate leaning program for each child.

Transportation assistance to families who’s children need to travel to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town is also made possible. This enables those children to see professionals who provide much needed specialised care and treatments.
Thank you to each and every person that rode for us and made our CTCT2020 a wonderful success.
