What an incredible day we had on Saturday at the Wheelchair Challenge in George. All the parents and children were up bright and early, truly bright and early to meet at the bus at 05h30 outside Sterreweg. Sinthu did his magical rounds with the various taxis to meet the bus on time to set off all the way to George. Our team of Angel Sterreweg care givers and Sabrina staff there to help and organised the smooth running of all the families. Thank you!
We arrived there on time and relaxed to gently set off on the emotional start of the wheelchair challenge with Sabrina’s pink winding its way through all the participants. It is incredible to see how many wonderful volunteers are there to push the chairs around the route giving so much joy to everyone involved. Smiling faces beamed out of the streams of wheelchairs and assisted competitors. What a privilege to see the courage of so many participants as they tackled the route on foot with crutches, walkers, chairs and other devices to help them get around the track.
This is an incredible event which has just grown from year to year. George Airport a fabulous sponsor with so many others. Sabrina Love Foundation would like to thank the organisers for inviting our children to take part and share the adventure of this amazing event. So well organised and beautifully run. A salute to all of you involved in giving so much to so many.
