Our Vision for Sabrina’s Farm

Sabrina’s Farm represents the next stage of evolution in our movement supporting 240+ children with disabilities in both our Outreach program and Therapy centre, where inclusivity and diversity are embraced as vital sources of strength, creativity, and transformation within our education system. We believe that nurturing and teaching empathy as a life skill creates these values and empowers both students and educators, fostering growth and positive change on a local and National basis.

The Ripple Effect of Positive Change

The image of “Sabrina’s pebble” landing in a pond captures our approach: one small action can initiate a ripple effect, sending waves of love, learning, empathy, and positive change across the country. With this philosophy, we warmly welcome you to Sabrina’s Farm—a place where transformation begins.

The Farm: A Diverse Paradise

In 2022, the farm found us—a magnificent piece of paradise rich in diverse fauna and flora. This unique environment provides the ideal space for children and teachers to grow, utilizing the tools of inclusivity and diversity to cultivate confident, creative, and empathetic human beings.

Nature as an Educational Resource

At Sabrina’s Farm, nature is seamlessly integrated into daily classroom activities and teacher training. Spanning 54 hectares, the farm is home to an incredible array of life, including pristine fynbos, forests, and a variety of animals such as buck, porcupine, wild boar, caracal, and wild honey bees. Our resident families of insects and bees, along with our unique plant microbiomes, all play essential roles in sustaining the vibrant energy that supports our community.

Therapy Centre and Sustainable Living

Our Therapy Centre provides care and support for 70 children with disabilities, alongside a dedicated team of 40 professional staff members. Serving over 200 meals daily where everyone is nourished on-site through our canteen, which serves delicious, fresh vegetables harvested daily from our biodynamic garden. This approach ensures that all members of our community benefit from healthy, sustainable food, further reinforcing our commitment to holistic well-being.

There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what he cannot do
